چکیده
In this study, the mechanical behaviours of thick-walled hollow functionally graded material (FGM) cylinder subjected to uniform pressures at inner and outer surfaces are proposed. The FGM has variable geometric profile, thickness properties like elastic modulus mass density all assumed vary radially according exponentially-varying functions in radial direction. With help infinitesimal elasticity theory plane strain assumption, analytic solutions stress deformation Numerical example is given show performance between FEM homogeneous cylinder. Finally, summary future work presented end paper.

متن کاملEstimation of Thermoelastic State of a Thermally Sensitive Functionally Graded Thick Hollow Cylinder: A Mathematical Model
The object of the present paper is to study temperature distribution and thermal stresses of a functionally graded thick hollow cylinder with temperature dependent material properties. All the material properties except Poisson’s ratio are assumed to be dependent on temperature. The nonlinear heat conduction with temperature dependent thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity is reduced t...
متن کاملAn Investigation of Stress and Deformation States of Rotating Thick Truncated Conical Shells of Functionally Graded Material
The present study aims at investigating stress and deformation behavior of rotating thick truncated conical shells subjected to variable internal pressure. Material prpperties of the shells are graded along the axial direction by Mori-tanaka scheme, which is achieved by elemental gradation of the properties.Governing equations are derived using principle of stsionary total potential (PSTP) and ...

in this paper the nonlinear bending analysis of thick functionally graded plates subjected to mechanical loading is studied. the formulation is derived based on the third-order shear deformation plate theory and von kármán type non-linearity. young’s modulus is assumed to vary according to a power law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. the principle of virtual wo...
متن کاملEffects of Geometric Nonlinearity on Stress Analysis in Large Amplitude Vibration of Moderately Thick Annular Functionally Graded Plate
This paper deals with the nonlinear free vibration of thick annular functionally graded material plates. The thickness is assumed to be constant. Material properties are assumed to be graded in the thickness direction according to a simple power law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. The formulations are based on the first-order shear deformation plate theory and...
